Friday Song Center

HI Queen of Disney here watching The Nightmare Before Christmas for the zillionth time today. Baby Bro seems to like Jack a lot. I have chosen this song that always captured my heart when i watch this movie. It’s weird but a cool song!

Yes I scared you a little bit! No this doesn’t touch my heart but it sure is catchy. Lock, Shock, and Barrel are sent to capture Sandy Claws…but they have a change to their plan. ENJOY!!

A Little Vacation

Summer is here and I’m posting live from Michigan. Vacations are always fun. In this totally unexpected short before Cars 2, Barbie and Ken think their headed off on vacation with Bonnie. Instead they end up in Bonnie’s room with Woody and the gang. To make Ken forget not going on the vacation of his dreams, the toys make their own little version in Bonnie’s room. Here’s a little sneak peek:

HELLO SUMMER!

Sorry I haven’t been posting lately…but I”m back! I have some new post ideas that I will be dishing out all summer long! Here is a great article to kick off the summer.

Meet Lilo and Stitch! These two took the world by storm in 2002. The first commercials were opened with classic Disney scenes that were then interrupted by Stitch. Example: Belle and the Beast were dancing in the ballroom. Then, as the shot went to the angel ceiling, you see Stitch crawling across to the chandelier. He makes the chandelier fall down. Belle and the Beast jump out of the way. Belle, with her hair messed up, huffs and says “I’m going to my room.” She leaves and the Beast growls at Stitch. She then says “Get your own movie.” Many of the other commercials included other classics like The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and The Lion King. All ended with one character  saying “Get your own movie.” My personal favorite is the Aladdin one where Stitch pulls up in his little flying car. Jasmine ditches Aladdin on the carpet and jumps in. It was really funny! This was the original movie poster where the classic characters are looking at him in disgust. You can see Jasmine smiling at Stitch in a romantic way

The movie starts with Stitch escaping from his alien prison. You see he was Experiment 626 by the mad scientist Dr. Jumba. After crashing on our planet, he finds himself in an animal shelter. Then he meets Lilo, who is a little girl coming to adopt a dog. Lilo lives with her sister Nani in (the setting) Hawaii. Their parents died in an unknown incident. Nani is struggling to be able to keep her little sister and decides to get her a dog. Lilo is around 5 or 6 from my view. Stitch wants to be with her so he says “HI” and hugs her. Lilo is impressed and picks him. Nani doesn’t like the idea…but agrees. Stitch does all this crazy stuff with Lilo while being hunted by Dr. Jumba and this other alien named Pleakley. Lilo, in all the craziness, has a lot of fun. She isn’t happy when she finds out he is an alien. Then Stitch and Lilo get accidentally captured by this giant alien named Gantu who comes to finish Dr. Jumba’s incomplete mission. Stitch escapes but Lilo doesn’t. Stitch, Nani, Jumba, and Pleakley must save. DO THEY? Duh this is a Disney movie! Lilo is safe! But the alien leader arrives and says she must take him away. Lilo gets very cute! She takes out her document that says she owns Stitch and says “If you take him, you’re stealing.” The leader smiles and lets Stitch stay. She also puts him and his family under the protection of the Intergalactic Council or something like that. Jumba and Pleakley have to stay on Earth. THE END!

Friday Song Center Week 2

Sorry for the lack of posts. I’ve been experiencing some technical difficulties with my computer. I’m back to writing! So it’s the second Friday Song Center. This week’s song is a favorite of mine. It’s a new song from Tangled. It’s called When Will My Life Begin sung by Mandy Moore. This is a link to the whole video from start to finish”

This song is about Rapunzel’s daily life in the tower she lives in. She and her best bud Pascal spend their days with lots of things to do. Here are the lyrics:

7 AM, the usual morning lineup:

Polish and wax, do laundry, and mop and shine up
Sweep again, and by then it’s like 7:15.

Mistress of All Evil

You know her, you’re scared of her, she has an issues with spinning wheels, she is the one and only Maleficent. She, as she calls herself, is the Mistress of All Evil. I’ll explain her issue: Apparently she wasn’t invited to a big party for the baby princess. This ticked her off so she put a curse on baby Aurora. When the sun sets on the night of her sixteenth birthday, Aurora will pluck the tip of a spinning wheel, AND DIE!!!! That’s not good is it? So, the third good fairy Merryweather tweaks the spell to change the dying part into a deep sleep. The princess will only be able to awaken from true love’s kiss. Now Maleficent waits sixteen years then sends her guards to find the princess, who has been hidden away. They went and looked in EVERY CRADLE. Yeah, she has some very dumb guards. Maleficent’s pet crow finds the cottage Aurora is living in and reports to Maleficent. Later in the story…Maleficent turns into this HUGE dragon. That dragon became a famous symbol in the Disney Villain Scariest Monster record. She even stars in Fantasmic at Disneyland. I gasp each time I see it! That’s all, DREAM OF DISNEY! I thought the other sign off was kind of negative….you know “Keep dreaming” because it won’t happen. So I changed it.

Happy Easter everyone! It’s late but I’ve had a very busy busy day. I have eaten too much food and have packed for my trip to DC. Yeah….no posts for a few days . But don’t worry…I’ll end on a good note.

Today I want to talk about Thumper the bunny. He is Bambi’s right hand man. He also has these really cute lines! SO CUTE! He thumps his foot rapidly too. AW!!!!! Well, Thumper is a bunny and we see WAY too many of them on Easter Sunday. Now Bambi is not my favorite Disney movie…but I just LOVE Thumper. KEEP DREAMING and remember

Pixar Power

The power of Pixar has blessed the Disney world with HUGE hits like Toy Story 1,2, 3, Wall-E, The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, and many more. It also starts the magical films with a hilarious unforgettable short. The first was about a lamp and a bouncy ball. Now they’ve become even better. My baby brother’s all time favorite Disney movie is Toy Story 3. Woody happened to be his first Disney word. It’s movies like those that make our imaginations grow. Personally, I like Wall-E. HE’S SO CUTE!!!!! This year, there is going to be a sequel to the hit movie Cars. Lighting McQueen hits a big World Race to be an ultimate champion. It looks cool and I want to take my baby brother to see it. Well…that’s all for now! KEEP DREAMING…..like it? I’m going to use it as a sign off.
